Mt. Olivet and Calvary cemeteries are located in Waterloo, Iowa and are open to serve people of all faiths. Both are perpetual care cemeteries. Our office is located at Mt. Olivet and is staffed from 8:00-2:00 Monday thru Friday. Saturday by appointment.
Guidelines for Flowers and Decorations
No glass, wires, or rocks on graves or headstones.
All flowers must be in vases and placed on concrete base of stone.
Wrought Iron decorations (Shepard’s hooks, etc.) allowed from April 1st until Nov.1st only. These must be placed as close to stone as possible, not on grave.
Christmas decorations (wreaths, etc.) allowed from Nov.1st until March 15th.
Spring cleanup is March 15th. All Christmas decorations will be removed.
Memorial Day decorations will be removed one week after the holiday.
All vases in lawn crypt area must be turned down by Nov.1st.
Please keep in mind that especially during the mowing season, we prefer not to have decorations out on graves as they will need to be removed and will not be replaced.
